The first call
You tell us what you want painted, how big the space is and when you hope to start. We ask a few questions about the condition of the surfaces, any repairs you know about and whether the home is occupied.
If the project is small, we may be able to give early guidance by phone. For larger work, we schedule a visit.
Photos of the rooms or the exterior help us prepare for the visit.
A good first call is a two-way conversation. We listen for details such as how long the paint has been up, whether there are stains or cracks and what look you want, because those clues shape the plan before anyone picks up a brush.
The estimate visit
We walk the space with you, measure, check the walls, ceilings, trim or siding and talk about colors, finishes and timing. We point out repairs and prep that affect how long the paint will last.
You receive a written scope that lists areas, prep, products and schedule. There is no pressure and no obligation.
If you are comparing bids, we explain how to compare scope fairly.
During the estimate, feel free to ask questions and point out anything that bothers you. The more we know about how you use the space, the better we can recommend finishes and a realistic schedule.
Choosing colors
We help you narrow choices with large samples on the wall and light checks in morning and evening. We explain sheen and how trim, ceilings and walls work together.
If you are unsure, we can suggest a short list based on your floors, counters and light.
Final colors are confirmed in writing, so there are no surprises on painting day.
If you are unsure about a color, ask for samples before the project is scheduled. Choosing colors early avoids delays on painting day and keeps the crew moving.
Preparation and protection
Painting day begins with moving and covering furniture, laying drop cloths and masking trim and fixtures. We wash, scrape, sand, fill holes, caulk gaps and prime where needed.
Prep takes the longest and matters most. It is what makes the paint look smooth and last.
We keep the workspace tidy and protect floors and belongings throughout.
Take a moment before work begins to walk the space and tell us about anything fragile, valuable or hard to move. A few minutes of attention protects your belongings and speeds up setup.
Painting
We paint ceilings first, then walls, then trim and doors, allowing proper dry time between coats. We cut in with brushes, roll for even coverage and check lighting as we go.
We use quality products suited to the surface and apply the number of coats needed for full coverage.
We tell you if we find unexpected problems and talk through options before moving on.
Painting is more than putting color on a wall. Dry time, lighting and weather all affect results, and a good crew pays attention to each of them and tells you when something needs to wait.
Cleanup and walkthrough
When the work is done, we remove masking, clean up and put furniture back. We walk the space with you, checking edges, corners and touch-ups.
Anything that needs attention is fixed promptly. You receive care instructions, such as when to wash walls and how to touch up scuffs.
We encourage you to tell us what you think. Your confidence in the finished work is what matters.
At the final walkthrough, look at the room in different light, from different angles. Small touch-ups are easy to fix on the spot, and we would rather hear about them than have you notice later.
A good project is a clear scope, careful prep, tidy work and a final walkthrough with no loose ends.
