Caulking trim, windows, baseboards and siding gaps for a crisp, finished look and better weather protection.
Caulk is the small detail that makes a big difference. A fine bead of caulk along the top of baseboards, around door frames and where trim meets walls fills gaps and gives paint a clean, finished line. On exteriors, caulking around windows, doors, trim joints and siding seams keeps water out and slows the damage that causes rot and peeling paint. Old, cracked caulk does the opposite: it lets in moisture and shows as dark lines. Different joints need different caulks, since some move with the seasons and others do not. In Nashville weather, with humid summers and chilly nights, joints really do move.
We remove old, failed caulk, clean the joint and apply fresh sealant with the right material for the location: paintable acrylic for interior trim, flexible siliconized or polyurethane products for exterior joints that move. We tool each bead smooth, let it cure and then paint over it where appropriate. We seal gaps around windows, doors, trim and siding, and we point out larger gaps that may need carpentry rather than sealant.
Interior trim, wet areas and exterior joints need different products, and we match them to the job.
Old, cracked caulk is removed before new sealant goes on so it bonds properly.
Smooth beads give baseboards, trim and window frames a clean, finished look.
Sealed joints keep water out and slow rot and paint failure on the exterior.
